It’s been nine months since the 2014 Milk Cup drew to a close, which has allowed plenty of time for the Craig Bellamy Foundation (CBF) to reflect on their experience at the tournament. The Milk Cup caught up with the first side from Sierra Leone to complete at the competition, who travelled over 7,000 miles to Northern Ireland.

Mrs. Betty Coard, from the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, receives a cheque for £1,100 from Co Londonderry player Cathal Connolly (centre) and County Antrim’s Cormac Lawlor, the proceeds from a collection taken up during finals night at the Dale Farm Milk Cup international youth football tournament in Ballymena Showgrounds earlier this year. Tournament chairman Victor Leonard said: “We are grateful for the generosity of our supporters who once again helped us support a charity that continues to provide tremendous care for young people with life limiting illnesses and their families.”
