County Tyrone 3

West Ham United 3

Report by Stuart McCracken

County Tyrone were denied an historic win against West Ham United with the last kick of the game at Anderson Park.

Amran Saifudden scored his second of the game in the 75th minute to deny Tyrone a massive win in the Junior Section.

West Ham took the lead within the first 60 seconds through Xavier Parker before Logan O’Connor equalised for Tyrone.

A minute after Tyrone levelled, West Ham scored once again through Saifudden but a Joel Kerr goal either side of the break had Tyrone ahead before their late heartbreak.

The London side took the lead in outstanding fashion when Parker unleashed from 20 yards into the top corner, leaving Michael Doherty in the Tyrone goal with no chance.

Tyrone levelled four minutes later when Kerr’s cross come shot was poked home by O’Connor at the back post, but celebrations were cut short as West Ham replied instantly to retake the lead.

Saifudden found space in the box to clinically finish into the bottom corner.

Kerr started the game in red hot form and in the 9th minute he beat his man once again, but his side foot finish went wide of the near post.

In the 20th minute, Harry Jones gifted O’Connor a massive chance to grab his second when the Hammers keeper passed straight to him, but the stopper made up for his error by pulling of an outstanding save.

Only a minute later the striker was brought down in the box to earn Tyrone a penalty, which was duly slotted home by Kerr.

The second-half started in a less chaotic fashion.

It came alive once again in the 52nd minute when star man Kerr cut inside and finished superbly into the near bottom corner.

Doherty in the Tyrone goal pulled off a magnificent save to tip a goal bound shot by Kyran Thompson onto the bar with seven minutes left on the clock.

But his and Tyrone’s resistance was ultimately broken in the fifth minute of added time, when Saifudden levelled with the last kick of the game for the Hammers.
