Road to SuperCupNI – a special series of short reads for our 40th anniversary tournament.

We’re inviting teams to tell us a little about themselves, how preparations are going and what coming to Northern Ireland to participate in SuperCupNI means to them.

Next up in the series – Dublin side St Kevin’s.

Donal Bermingham from St Kevin’s said:

“On behalf of St Kevin’s FC we are delighted to be given the opportunity to participate in this years SuperCupNI.

The club was formed in 1959 as St Kevin’s Boys FC, and created a pathway for players along the way such as Liam Brady, Jeff Hendricks, Robbie Brady, Dara O Shea and up and coming star in the making Evan Ferguson.

In 2023 the club changed its name to St Kevin’s FC to incorporate girls football in the club.

St Kevins FC

This year’s squad have as much ambition as the players that have gone before them in trying to make a career in soccer, and this tournament offers the platform for them to shine.

The lads are training very hard, and really looking forward to the games ahead, and interacting with the other players from around the world.

On behalf of St Kevin’s FC we would like to wish all the players, officials, and volunteers a great week.”
