Road to SuperCupNI – a special series of short reads for our 40th anniversary tournament.
We’re inviting teams to tell us a little about themselves, how preparations are going and what coming to Northern Ireland to participate in SuperCupNI means to them.
Next up in the series – Northeast Rush from the USA.

Brian Gordon from Northeast Rush said:
“Northeast Rush is delighted to be able to attend the SuperCupNI again and our boys’ and girls’ teams can’t wait to face off against the quality opposition.
Our 2006 girls attended last year and they had an incredible experience playing the likes of Northern Ireland and Rangers.

Being Scottish and knowing all about the tournament but never having had the opportunity to play in it, I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to coach in the event and everything about the trip was what I expected and hoped it would be.”

Luke O’Callaghan from Northeast Rush said:
“Incredibly thrilled to be attending SuperCupNI this summer and honoured to be representing Northeast Rush at the event.
Being from Wales, I know all about the tournament and am fully aware of the prestige it holds with so many future professionals competing in it over the years.
It’ll be a great experience for our players, and we can’t wait to get over there and compete.”
