Mexico chase Treble!

Apr 24, 2014 | Elite Section, Press Releases

Defending Elite champions Mexico and hosts Northern Ireland are back in the mix.

Mexico are chasing a hat-trick of successes since 2012 after seeing off Northern Ireland in last year’s decider and Denmark the year before. Their victory over the Irish last time took the Central Americans level with their hosts in terms of titles secured at this level with their first crown picked up against Scotland in 2001.

China and Canada complete the four-team section which has maintained a high quality down the years since it was first introduced back in 1995.

The Dale Farm Milk Cup begins with the traditional parade of competing teams through Coleraine on Sunday, July 27, concluding with finals night at Ballymena Showgrounds on Friday, August 1.

In addition to title sponsors Dale Farm, Northern Ireland’s largest dairy company, the Dale Farm Milk Cup is supported by the four Councils of Coleraine, Ballymena, Ballymoney and Limavady, with BBC Sport NI as broadcast partners.
