Celtic produced a dominant performance on Wednesday morning in Coleraine, dismantling County Fermanagh 9–0 in a one-sided contest that showcased super football, clinical finishing, and individual brilliance.

Celtic wasted no time in asserting control, taking the lead after a couple of minutes when Jaden Nish converted a low cross from inside the box. The early strike was followed by a flurry of attacking pressure, culminating in a second goal inside minutes.

After a goalmouth scramble from a corner, Fermanagh goalkeeper Jamie Wallace made two super saves, but Michael Ihmig eventually forced the ball over the line.

Nish added his second goal just five minutes later, again converting from another corner, before completing his hat-trick with a well-directed header into the bottom corner from a pinpoint Flynn Watson cross.

Celtic looked to have extended their lead further when Nish turned in a cross from Ihmig, only for the assistant referee’s flag to deny him a fourth.

Moments later, Ihmig had two chances of his own — sending a left-footed effort wide and forcing a strong save from Wallace in quick succession.

Celtic’s fifth goal came just before the break with Ihmig powering through the Fermanagh defence before finishing emphatically.

The Scottish giants continued in ruthless fashion in the second period. Watson struck the post, but Ihmig was alert to tap in the rebound, completing a brace and extending Celtic’s lead to 6–0.

County Fermanagh struggled to gain any foothold in the match. Striker Shea McManus found himself isolated for long stretches, with little service and few touches in the opposition half.

It wasn’t long before Celtic added to their tally. Luca Filippini scored from close range following a mesmerising solo run from Perrie Ramsey, who skipped past three defenders before squaring the ball.

Ramsey nearly got on the scoresheet himself just minutes later, rattling the post with a low effort.

However, Ihmig completed his hat-trick in style, curling a sublime left-footed strike into the corner to score his sides’ eighth

The final goal came via Jude Colhoun, who was left unmarked at the back post to slot home a low cross again delivered by the ever-dangerous Ramsey.

A ruthless showing from the Glaswegians puts them into the SuperCupNI semi-finals on Thursday whilst Co.Fermanagh enter the vase section.
