Coleraine firm’s support has spanned three decades of growth for internationally renowned youth football tournament

The Budget Energy SuperCupNI and IDS Chartered Accountants are celebrating 30 years of partnership after the Coleraine-based firm confirmed its continued support for this summer’s tournament.

Since first partnering with the tournament in 1996, IDS has provided both financial support and professional accountancy services as the Budget Energy SuperCupNI has grown into one of the world’s leading international youth football tournaments.

Based in Coleraine, IDS Chartered Accountants is one of the Causeway Coast’s longest-established independent accountancy and business advisory firms. Led by partners Roger Dallas and Alison Wallace, the practice provides financial, taxation and business advisory services to businesses, charities and organisations across Northern Ireland.

For three decades, IDS has overseen the tournament’s accountancy and financial affairs while continuing to invest financially in its future. That combination of commercial support and professional expertise has made the firm one of the Budget Energy SuperCupNI’s longest-serving partners and a constant presence throughout the tournament’s continued growth.

Now entering its 43rd edition, the Budget Energy SuperCupNI will welcome more than 1,200 players representing 64 Boys’ and Girls’ teams from across the UK, Ireland, Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East between Sunday 26th and Friday 31st July.

Elite academies including Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds United and West Ham United will compete alongside leading County representative teams and international opposition from around the world.

More than 150 fixtures will be played across Causeway Coast and Glens, Antrim and Newtownabbey, and Mid and East Antrim, with thousands of players, coaches, officials, families and supporters travelling to Northern Ireland for one of the country’s largest annual sporting events.

Sam Gamble, Tournament Coordinator at the Budget Energy SuperCupNI, said: “Thirty years of support from IDS Chartered Accountants is something we’re incredibly proud to celebrate. Partnerships like this are rare and the fact we’ve worked together since 1996 says everything about the trust and respect that’s been built over that time.

“IDS has been far more than a sponsor. They’ve looked after the tournament’s accountancy and financial affairs for three decades, while continuing to invest financially in the event itself. That combination of professional expertise and commercial support has been invaluable to the tournament.

“Roger, Alison and everyone at IDS have always been fantastic to work with. On behalf of the tournament, I’d like to thank them for their support over the past 30 years and look forward to continuing that relationship in the years ahead.”

Roger Dallas, Partner at IDS Chartered Accountants, added: “We’re incredibly proud to celebrate 30 years of involvement with the Budget Energy SuperCupNI.

“The tournament has always been more than a client or sponsorship for us. It’s been a real family affair. Over the years, members of my own family have had the opportunity to play in the tournament, so we’ve experienced it not only as professional advisers and sponsors, but as parents and supporters too.

“That gives you a real appreciation of what the Budget Energy SuperCupNI means. Every year it creates memories for thousands of young footballers and their families, while bringing people from around the world to the Causeway Coast.

“We’re proud to have supported the tournament both professionally and financially since 1996 and it’s been a privilege to watch it grow into one of the world’s leading international youth football tournaments. We look forward to continuing that relationship for many years to come.”

The 2026 Budget Energy SuperCupNI is proudly supported by headline partner Budget Energy, alongside a valued network of partners including Tourism NI, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Sterling Insurance, Creagh Concrete, Uhlsport, KLIR, IDS Accountants, Tesco, The Premier League, TrustFord, 247.TV, TAKA and BuyTicketApp.
