The final for the Vase in SuperCupNI took place on Friday with Glentoran taking on IDA Bermuda.
There were not many chances across the whole of the first half. The only two half chances fell to Alfie Davidson. He cut in from the left side of the box and got a shot off each time, however one went over, and one went into the ‘keeper’s arms. The final ball was lacking for both teams, with defences on top.
The second half was much more exciting. The first chance came down the left side. A one-two between Jack Morrow and Alfie Davidson led to a cross being put to the back post. The ball fell to Kai McCullough, who forced a great stop from Bermuda’s ‘keeper.

Bermuda’s first chance was a long-range strike destined for the top corner but was denied by Jack McAllister, who made a top class save to keep the score at 0-0.
It was Glentoran with the next chance. A scramble in the box led to Jack Hall beating the ‘keeper to the ball. From that, the ball fell to Alfie Davidson. His effort got a slight deflection, which made all the difference as it smacked against the post.
The final chance of the game fell to Jack Hall. A ball slipped through by Rory Hull gave Jack Hall a tight angle at the right. He struck a great shot, heading into the roof of the net, however a big hand from Bermuda’s keeper, Xavier Thomas-Bassett, denied Glentoran of a late winner.
