The Budget Energy SuperCupNI has announced KLIR as its new Official Hydration Partner, marking the next phase of its partnership with Northern Ireland-based Clearer Group.

KLIR will take over from Clearer Water, part of the Clearer Group portfolio, for the remaining three years of the existing five-year agreement, supporting players, officials and volunteers with high-quality hydration across the tournament.

The partnership builds on the agreement established in 2024 under the Clearer Water brand and marks a natural progression in delivering scalable, high-performance hydration solutions for one of the world’s most prestigious youth football tournaments.

KLIR is positioned as a more accessible, convenience-led water product within the Clearer Group portfolio, designed for everyday retail and high-participation environments, while Clearer Water remains the group’s premium brand.

Based in Larne, the Clearer Group produces naturally purified water sourced through County Antrim’s cretaceous limestone, with all products bottled on-site at its facility in Magheramorne. The result is a perfectly balanced pH 7.8 natural alkaline spring water, rich in essential minerals.

All bottles used during the tournament will be made from 100% recyclable materials, with a clear commitment to responsible reuse and sustainability beyond the event.

The Clearer Group has built a strong reputation as an ethical and socially responsible employer, championing a mixed-ability workforce and providing training and career development opportunities for individuals with additional needs and socially disadvantaged young people.

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, Global CEO/Co-Chairman/Owner of Clearer Group, said:

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the Budget Energy SuperCupNI, with KLIR now leading our activation across the tournament.

This next phase allows us to introduce a product that is accessible and fit for purpose across both everyday retail and high-participation environments, while maintaining the quality standards that define our business.

As a Northern Ireland-based company, supporting a tournament of this scale and international reputation is something we place real value on. The SuperCupNI provides a platform for young players from across the world, and we are proud to play a role in supporting that journey.

Our commitment to sustainability, inclusion and community impact is embedded in how we operate every day, and this partnership gives us an opportunity to demonstrate that in a meaningful and visible way.”

Now entering its 43rd year, the Budget Energy SuperCupNI remains one of the world’s premier youth football competitions. The 2026 tournament will take place from Sunday 26th to Friday 31st July, welcoming over 60 Boys’ and Girls’ teams from across the globe.

More than 1,200 young players will compete in over 150 matches across five age groups, with fixtures hosted throughout Causeway Coast and Glens, Antrim and Newtownabbey and Mid and East Antrim.

The Boys’ Section Cup Finals will take place at The Coleraine Showgrounds on Friday 31st July, while the Girls’ Section Cup Finals will be staged at Dixon Park, Ballyclare on Thursday 30th July.

Sam Gamble, Tournament Coordinator at the Budget Energy SuperCupNI, said:

“This partnership with the Clearer Group has gone from strength to strength, and we are pleased to see that continue with KLIR across the tournament.

KLIR is well suited to the scale and demands of the SuperCupNI, providing a practical and accessible hydration solution for players and officials throughout the week.

The Clearer Group has strong, honest values which align closely with ours and, as a local company, we hope Northern Ireland’s wider football family will see the value in this partnership and really get behind it.

Their commitment to social impact, inclusion and community development reflects the ethos of the tournament, and we are proud to continue working together.”
